These are promotional images I took and edited during my time at Casemate Publishers for their social media use. While they are mainly a military history publisher, they also distribute other nonfiction presses and titles as well.
Image Editing
I have 10+ years of Photoshop experience and was able to do the below image adjustments by utilizing tools like the clone stamp, gaussian blur, and color curve adjustments.
Renaissance Faire: BEFORE
Renaissance Faire: AFTER (I removed the cars, replaced with more foliage/nature scenes, removed the fairy from behind my boyfriend and I, color-corrected my eyeshadow, adjusted my cape & skirt to be a little closer in hue, and added a little more contrast to the whites of our eyes and teeth.)
Philip Island: BEFORE
Philip Island: AFTER (A photograph I took at Phillip Island in Australia earned a spot in Hibbert's 2024 calendar for internal and promotional usage. Entries could not contain people or animals, so I removed the people from the boardwalk.)
Cemetery Boys: BEFORE
Cemetery Boys: AFTER (I corrected the light in the room to make the pages more neutral instead of warm, made my cat's eyes pop more, and adjusted the red of the duvet to be closer to the color scheme of the dust jacket.)
Dino Engagement: BEFORE
Dino Engagement: AFTER (I color-corrected, blurred the background to have the dinosaurs be more in-focus and pop more, hid the board they're standing on in the grass, and added a soft fade border.)
