August 2021 Update

It’s ALMOST autumn! I’m eagerly waiting to bring out my fall/Halloween décor. I got a lot of writing done this month for my graphic novel class and managed to write the first draft of the first issue of Caramel Crunch! It just felt… right. Like this format to tell the story finally clicked in my head for it. Considering this story is incredibly important to me as it was the first novel I ever wrote and finished, it really gave me a new perspective on the characters and the story. It really allowed me to dive back in and fix a lot of the plot holes/issues from its original novel draft. I feel rejuvenated towards my writing if I could take a second and actually focus on one project at a time.

Goals For September

For September I will be starting my thesis so I'll be reading some books for that as well as creating some interview questions and doing some statistical analysis. My books accidentally arrived at the neighbor's house and their son opened the package thinking it was for him and today they let us know that oops they actually did receive it by accident. (It happens to the best of us, no harm meant!) I also really want to get into creating a good pitch package for a graphic novel now that I've invited a talented friend of mine to be the artist on our little writer-artist team.
